Who we are and these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and KAPTURE GENERAL TRADING LLC, United Arab Emirates (“Geo Rooms”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Geo Rooms you agree to them, to the Privacy Policy and to the Community Guidelines.

Who can use Geo Rooms

You must be at least 18 to use Geo Rooms, and not barred from using it by law. You are responsible for following the laws that apply to you.

Your account

Give accurate information and keep your password safe; you are responsible for what happens in your account. Do not sell, transfer or share your account, or pretend to be someone else.

Your content and our licence

What you post stays yours. By posting it you give Geo Rooms a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transmit, display, translate, moderate and make it available within Geo Rooms — including recordings, replays and clips — as needed to run the service. The licence ends when you delete the content, except for backups kept for a short period and what the law requires us to keep. When you speak on stage in a room that is recording, you agree that your voice can be part of its recording, and that the host may post it as a replay and cut clips from it within Geo Rooms. Replays carry other people’s voices: do not download or republish them outside Geo Rooms without their permission. You are responsible for having the right to post what you post.

Conduct

By using Geo Rooms you agree to these terms and to our zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive users; violators may be removed without notice. Do not break the law, record other people outside the app’s features without their consent, send spam, scrape data, get around security or Drop checks, or reverse-engineer the app.

Enforcement and appeals

We review reports and act on them. We may remove content, mute someone, limit features, suspend or close an account, or withhold rewards obtained by fraud. If you think we got it wrong, email geo@kapturs.com within 30 days of the action, and a person will review it and reply.

Coins and purchases

Coins and other digital items are sold only through the official in-app store and are for use in Geo Rooms only. They have no cash value, do not expire, and cannot be refunded (except as required by law or by the app store), sold, exchanged for money, or transferred to another account. Coins reach a wallet in only two ways: a purchase through the app store, or a Drop prize that Geo Rooms credits to the winner (see Drops); users cannot send coins to each other. Apple processes payment, and refund requests go to Apple. If Apple refunds a purchase, we may remove the matching coins. We may change coin prices and the gift catalogue.

Gifts

Gifts are voluntary and final. If the app store refunds the purchase behind a gift, the gift is reversed.

Creator earnings

When you receive gifts, Geo Rooms credits you earnings: a share of Geo Rooms’ revenue, at rates Geo Rooms sets and may change. Earnings are not coins and are not money held for you. They may be held for up to 14 days, and may be reversed for refunds, chargebacks, fraud, or breaches of these terms.

Cashing out

Payouts are not available yet. Earnings cannot be withdrawn today, and we do not promise when, or whether, payouts will open. If they do, we will tell you the conditions first; payouts would go only to a bank account in your own name in the UAE or in another GCC country we support at the time, subject to regulatory and payout-provider approval, after identity checks, and may be reviewed, limited, delayed, or refused where the law or our safety checks require, including sanctions screening.

Taxes and permits

You are responsible for any tax, licence, or permit that applies to what you earn on Geo Rooms, including a UAE Media Council advertiser permit if you promote brands or products.

Subscriptions

You can subscribe to some hosts. The price and period are shown before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end. Refunds are handled by Apple.

Drops

A Drop is a hunt for Geo Rooms coins at a real place. Every Drop is created and run by Geo Rooms; users cannot create Drops. Sponsor: KAPTURE GENERAL TRADING LLC (Geo Rooms), United Arab Emirates, geo@kapturs.com. Apple is not a sponsor of, and is not involved in, any Drop or its prizes. Eligibility: 18 or over, in the United Arab Emirates, with an account in good standing; employees of KAPTURE GENERAL TRADING LLC and members of their households cannot win. How to take part: go to the Drop’s zone shown in the app while the Drop is open and press Claim; the first valid claims win, up to the number of winners shown on the Drop. Prizes: coins credited to each winner’s Geo Rooms wallet; when a Drop has more than one winner, its prize is split equally between them. Coins have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money. Verification: we check every claim (location checks and device integrity checks) and refuse or reverse claims we believe are not genuine, such as a faked location, multiple accounts or automated tools. We may cancel, pause or change a Drop, for example if it was placed somewhere unsafe or if a fault or fraud affects it; a cancelled Drop has no winners and any claim on it is void. Safety: never use Geo Rooms while driving — stop somewhere safe first; obey traffic laws; do not enter private property or restricted or dangerous places; and respect other people. You take part at your own risk, and no Drop ever requires you to break the law. Drops are void where prohibited by law.

Intellectual property and takedowns

The app and the Geo Rooms name, logo and design are ours. We give you a limited, personal licence to use the app for non-commercial purposes. If you downloaded it from the App Store, Apple’s standard licence terms also apply, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its support. If you believe content on Geo Rooms infringes your rights, email geo@kapturs.com with your contact details, the work concerned, where the content is (room, replay or profile), a statement that you are acting in good faith and the information is accurate, and your signature. We will remove content where appropriate and may close the accounts of repeat infringers.

Other services

Maps, GIFs, film data and sign-in are provided by others, and their terms apply to them.

Provided as is

Geo Rooms is provided “as is” without warranties to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise that the service will always work or be error-free, or that maps and locations are accurate, and we are not responsible for other users’ content or conduct.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Geo Rooms is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to Geo Rooms is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and AED 100. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Termination

You can stop using Geo Rooms and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, for legal reasons, or to protect other people. If we close an account for a breach, its coins and unwithdrawn earnings may be forfeited to the extent the law allows. Sections meant to survive termination do.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute. This does not affect any mandatory consumer protection you have by law.

Changes

We may change these terms. We will update their date and tell you in the app; if a change is material, we will ask you to accept it again. Using Geo Rooms after a change means you accept it.
